Hi henrique,

OK. It took a bit of experimenting, but I managed to reproduce the
fenomina on a laptop.

The audio-card of that machine does not do audio-capturing in mono.
Using USB dongles most of the time, I failed to check the return status
of the "set number of channel to 1" command in ALSA.
You should be able to get around it with the "-s" (stereo) option.

I will add some more error-checking code in the application, or -even
better- make it switch switch to stereo automatically if needed.

Note that, when using -s, the current implementation of the application
expect the audio to be present on the left channel.

Can you try again?

BTW. Working with all kinds of audio-cards can sometimes turn out to be
quite squerky. In my case, when using my laptop, I not only needed to
enable stereo reception, I also needed to enable the "-autoinvert" option.

That's why the people who use this kind of setup for D-STAR repeaters
advice to use one particular USB dongle, which has been tested and which
works well.
More info can be found here: http://www.va3uv.com/freestar.htm

But, I guess for just experimenting, other audio-devices can also work.
