Major congratulations to David and all who have supported his work!

I believe that this kind of project advances amateur radio, open
source software, and free and open communications everywhere in a way
that few activities can.  It may be low profile in the the amateur
community now, but it offers many new and perhaps unexpected
opportunities for advancing the art.
