I'm not sure if you've been monitoring the list very long but I'm working
on a full conversion of the buildsystem to cmake. The linux build should
already work very well and it uses system libraries for everything (even
codec2, so build and install that first) by default.

The biggest issue is wxWIdgets since 2.9+ is required. If you're running an
RPM based distro then you could probably use my Fedora RPMs, if you're
using a debian based system, you can either download the source, build, and
install it or explore the BOOTSTRAP_WXWIDGETS cmake option in fdmdv2. It
will download and build wxWidgets for you (statically) and use it.

See the README.cmake file for both codec2-dev and fdmdv2. You'll need
recent SVN checkouts.

Thanks,
Richard
