WGood point... Besides I do have ideas of a 64-FSK Voiceband-Modem that may transmit Codec2 @ 2400 bit/s in a bit:baud ration of 8:1 - making it work at exactly 300 baud... Possibly, both partners may negotiate onto a TDMA syncronization, so that each can simultaneously send with 1200 bit/s or 150 baud...
Seems plausible for (less regulated) 27 MHz CB band [according to CEPT/BNetzA regulations... I guess the FCC is harsher at this point!] Anyway, setting a symbol rate limit seems more or lass narrow minded today... I guess that limiting the transmission power and burst lenght would be more useful that using backdoors to indirectly prohibit the use of AX.25 and other protocols, which may unleash their full potential (or just work) at >300 baud....
