I have ported the codec2 to the Google Native Client platform. The goal is to compress and decompress speech in real time off an HTML5 web page running in the Chrome browser. The potential applications include Internet games, telephony and speech recognition. I can share or publish the port if there is an interest. The source code is not impacted - I had to modify the build configuration files and the codec2.h header.
