That's great Stephen thank you very much. There has been a bug reported on Win XP (a 10 second delay when closing FreeDV) that could possibly have been caused by (3) below.
Richard, when you are happy with Stephen's patches from the build system point of view please check them into SVN. I will then build here and test the software on my Linux and Vista machines.
