Congrats. It would certainly be a plus to have a standard platform for
development.

Regarding the JTAG connector, it would be desirable (if possible) to
include at least a PCB footprint for an industry-standard connector
pinout. The present schematic uses a ST Link (ST Micro proprietary)
connector.

A 20-pin IDC connector was the norm for many years, and now the industry
is coalescing around a 10-pin 50mil connector. There is some example
information here:

http://infocenter.arm.com/help/topic/com.arm.doc.faqs/attached/13634/cortex_debug_connectors.pdf

As connectors go, the ST Link isn't a terrible one. 0.1" connectors are
cheap. Moreover, ST Micro is practically giving away its development
boards with ST Link embedded at the moment, so it is hard to argue
against including ST Link as an option.

There is a bit of a cold war going on between ARM manufacturers at the
moment. Since customers can readily move between ARM licensees,
manufacturers try to "lock in" developers early on in development with a
proprietary debug interface that is most friendly to their
manufacturer-specific IDE (which in turn come with manufacturer-specific
drivers, etc., etc.).

So, having at least a PCB footprint for an industry-standard JTAG/SWD
connector would be a plus.
