There will be a lot going on at Hamvention.

Algoram has a double-wide space in the Arena, the prime location at Hamvention, the same size that we had for FreeDV two years ago but in a different spot in the Arena.

We are donating part of that space to exhibit FreeDV, Mel and Gerry will be operating. We might also see Rick Barnach on the one day he's at the show, and Mel and Gerry could probably use some volunteer help, his email is mel at melwhitten dot com. I think Mel might have a SM1000 prototype that you can see - it was at Orlando and looks good.

Chris and I will be in the booth on the Algoram side, and we have two booth staff hired to help us for all hours of the show.

We are hoping to be able to sell our radio at Hamvention. Whitebox "Charley" (the third generation of the design) is currently at the manufacturer, it will take us a few weeks more to be sure we're ready to go. See the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wq29i8gMm8c or the slides at http://algoram.com/presentations/Hamcation2015.pdf

Mel has arranged a "Digital Modes: Now and For The Future" forum. This year's speakers will be Chris Testa, about Whitebox Charley, Rick Barnach, about SM1000, and myself speaking about future digital modes. Chris is also giving a shorter speech about Whitebox Charley at the TAPR forum.

OTHER THINGS TO DO AT THE SHOW

The National Museum of the United States Air Force is definitely worth seeing. http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/ It's very much worth going on to the military base and seeing the Presidential and Research hangars, besides the normal public areas. To do so, ask for the place where you sign up as soon as you get to the building, they run out of bus rides to the base quickly. Get a wristband for your ride.
