Here is a recording made of Gerry, N4DV running mobile near Tampa Florida using
his new SM1000 SmartMic. Gerry's rig is an ICOM706MK2 running about 25w
average power into a Hustler vertical.
Note the good SNR with only a S6 to S7 signal. ...and good audio too! Close
talking the mic, Gerry is able to avoid noise pickup in a mobile environment.
Recorded near St Louis MO on 20 meters with a Flex5000 and CamStudio. The path
was 820mi/1320km.
Gerry will be also be running mobile on his way to Dayton next Wednesday and
Thursday (May 13-14). Take a listen for him on 14.236 and check the K7VE's
