Hi all,

Thanks for your suggestions! It was definitely a combination of the RIG MIC
pot and the KX3's mic volume control causing the issue. I managed to get a
SNR of almost 20dB or so after playing around with both controls; the KX3
is currently outputting 1W (1 bar on its LCD) with those settings. Might be
time to consider finally getting the KXPA100 after all. :)
