Hi all,
In case you missed it, I've made available a couple of APT
repositories for Debian and Ubuntu that ship binaries and source code
for FreeDV.
They are signed using the following GnuPG key:
pub rsa4096/ECC8A0ED 2015-08-29 [expires: 2018-09-06]
Key fingerprint = 9331 FDF5 E024 66CD 314E FE10 9760 CE62 ECC8 A0ED
which is available at http://repo.longlandclan.yi.org/ and also via
key servers.
Distributions
Ubuntu: Precise (12.04 LTS), Trusty (14.04 LTS), Utopic (14.10) and
Vivid (15.04)
Debian: Wheezy (7), Jessie (8) and Sid (9)
Architectures
AMD64 and i386 are targetted for now, if there's demand I can add ARM
(hard and soft float) to that list
Adding the repository
First, grab the repository signing key, if package verification
matters to you.
$ wget http://repo.longlandclan.id.au/signkey.gpg
$ sudo apt-key add signkey.gpg
Then, add the following to /etc/apt/sources.list (or to named
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/freedv.list):
deb http://repo.longlandclan.id.au/${DIST} ${SUITE} main
For sources, add another line with deb replaced with deb-src:
deb-src http://repo.longlandclan.id.au/${DIST} ${SUITE} main
If you strike any problems, let me know. I'm hoping we can get these
moved up to somewhere more official, possibly keeping this site as the
initial dumping ground for new builds, which then get relocated to the
master site once they've been tested.
Note, the old address at repo.longlandclan.yi.org will continue to
work for as long as it is technically possible to do so. I note the
main http://www.yi.org site has been unresponsive for some weeks now
and so I've taken some proactive measures to ensure my site stays
accessible.
