I fiddled a bit more, it only happens when the FDMDV modem is active, which makes me think about spare CPU time. Maybe I'm just pushing the little ARM a bit too much. The way forward might be if there's a menu prompt to play, we play that and ignore the ADCs for a while. I'm not sure what that means for the FIFO queues that look after ADC inputs, whether they just push old samples off the end or what happens. Anyway, it's past my bed time now.
