I was wondering if there was any difference between my modulator and the freedv_tx one, so I created two RAW files and read them into audacity. My first thought was just to mix the two together and play it back with FreeDV.
Woof, it actually sounded fine. So the next thought was, to invert one of them before mixing them. I was hoping to get zero, but I got these little pips. So I switched to spectrum view and they are carriers 4 and 7 (and the diversity 11 and 14). I'm trying to think what that could mean?? The pips are about 6 dB lower in amplitude.
