These are debug pins on the bottom of the board, under the CPU. If you
monitor these pins you can watch the CPU activity.

If the pins aren't blinking, the software has crashed. If they are
blinking, you can watch the timing (ADC, DAC).

check out debugblinky.c and the maybe do a "grep GPIOE *" inside the
stm32 directory.
