Hello Richard, 1/ Yes. Some aspects of the OFDM modem used for FreeDV 700D are being ported to the ARDOP/Winmor project. The OFDM modem appears to have several times the performance of the previous modems used in those projects.
2/ The Teensy CPU sounds pretty close to the stm32f4, so FreeDV 1600 (at least) should run OK. There is also some work going onto port 700D to similar uCs.
