Ok, I had some time this morning to play with my VM of Ubuntu Bionic (18)
and can confirm it has the same issue as the other releases of Ubuntu.
I have been completely unable to get it to work correctly so I have filed a
bug with Ubuntu:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cmake/+bug/1787723
I may try to add CMAKE_FORCE_COMPILER for Ubutnu only but I have to figure
out how to do that.
