Hi Brian, Go for it. The general idea is a SDR that can show the benefits of Open Source.
I'll be releasing an experimental Neural Net codec soon, based on Jean-Marc's LPCNet. That will give us 8kHz audio bandwidth in 2000 bits/s. That would sound pretty good on UHF/VHF next to anything in the commercial world, and with the FSK modems and LDPC decoders we have developed outperform incumbent waveforms at low SNR.
