Thanks to David's guidance, Freebeacon is now working fine in 700D mode on
my RPi4 and Icom IC7100. The beacon is only operating part time but I'm
hoping to get our club to look at a more permanent solution here in
southeast Queensland.

I've done a few small mods to the Freebeacon program to make CAT control
work though Hamlib and put the source code on a temporary website
http://freedv.vk4ya.space (all running on the same Pi4 here at home). Its
still work-in-progress, but who knows, it might be useful to take and do
properly someday.

There is bit of a bug that I've not fathomed out yet in the Hamlib Rig
model selection. For example, my Icom IC-7100 needs the rig code 3070, but
according to the Hamlib site
https://github.com/Hamlib/Hamlib/wiki/Supported-Radios the code number
should be 370. The command line option is '-u 3070' for the '7100.
