We will give the V4 version a try David and let you know the results.

Many thanks as always..

Subject: [Freetel-codec2] SM1000 burble problem and v4 firmware

Hi Michael,

I've been working on this one. One thing lead to another and I ended up
refactoring all of freedv_api.c which was getting out of hand with all the
modes that had been added over the years:

  https://github.com/drowe67/codec2/pull/111

So as well as testing the SM1000 we'll need to test a new version of FreeDV GUI
shortly :-)

Anyhoo, some new v4 firmware for you (and anyone else) to try:

  https://github.com/drowe67/codec2/blob/master/stm32/doc/sm1000_manual.md

It's been running all day here right next to me (I'm WFH) without a single
noise. In fact it's a bit _too_ quiet, although I can see the sync led
flashing every few seconds as it gets a "maybe 700D" sync on noise.

Cheers,
David
