By test scripts, I think david means the ctests, which can be run in verbose mode from your 'build' directory by running:
ctest -V
The tests themselves are defined here: https://github.com/drowe67/codec2/blob/master/CMakeLists.txt#L302

As for the FreeDV broadcast, when we used to run it here in VK5 a long time ago, we used mode 1600. I never bothered to do any per-voice equalization, far too much effort to go to on a weekly basis. I did apply a 300 Hz high pass filter, which seemed to help a little.

I've just dug up the script I used to run, which is here: https://gist.github.com/darksidelemm/f09c3eb4a0fe837e4fd42347d264d85a Note that this is fairly VK5 specific, and includes some custom preambles and outros.

In prep for adding and modifying things in FreeDV, this evening I
    built
FreeDV from source on debian BUSTER.

Wow everything worked. well done everyone :-) !

Now, I remember seeing the scripts for running audio and codec2 tests

But I cannot remember or find their location. Anyone care to
    elaborate
please ? I do not yet know the ecosystem too well.

I am going to run the broadcast on free DV tomorrow locally here in
    canberra, 700D.

But I want to get the equalisation right. Actually there are
    different
voices and sources, so I will need to chop it up and equalise
    separately .

    ideas ?

(I dont think everyone is quite ready for 2020, one thing at a time)

    cheers
