That's a good idea.  It should be easy to implement because all the logic
can go in ScreenURL().

I've built many sites in FreeEnergy (the screen/action/etc model).  If you
don't need any variables other than SCREEN, it's no problem use path info.
I prefer to build sites this way, and I find it nearly impossible to go back
to building static pages.
