Thanks for the help.  I didn't find that entry in php.ini either but I 
changed it to 0 in global_properties and the errors were suppressed.  I 
guess I wasn't sure if they were actual errors or if they we're things that 
could be ignored.

Looks like it's going and I have a couple clients who will be looking 
forward to starting up their stores.

If there are people with stores up I would like to see them.
