installing freetrade itself is straightforward, providing you have access
to the server root.

Trickier is persuading mysql.

Read the mysql docs carefully, especially the bit on grant privileges
If you are already the root user to mysql then fine, otherwise you will
have to persuade whoever is the root user for mysql to do it for you, and
give you a login and password. Usually only the root may create/drop
databases, but you will want the rights to create/drop tables as well as
insert/update etc.

I had no trouble installing it on my local Suse Linux box, but the remote
server was another matter, though we did get it running fine in the end.
