That was nice. I am glad to say I can still find my way around! Looks to me like
layout and navigation and language file is much the same, so I guess I am not wasting
my time working on current version ? I shuld be able to update the language file easy?
I would like now that Leon is back, to make a wishlist for stuff that would be nice to
have in 2.0 (And or 1.0 as well). I do understand that this is up to Leon, and thats
good. -It is better for all users that Leon is in charge. I would like to ask for a
yes or a no. Please.
1. Navigation and limit listing. This is realy something I wish for. I have written
previosly obout this, but I will repeat as short as I can. Autocity.de has a wery nice
way of navigating tru large listings.A simular solution in FreeTrade will also give a
good solution for getting back to previous page, even if a product is ordered, or one
is on page 2 on a long listing of products. The code for splitting a long list up is a
part of what I deesire.
2. COD. I spendt two days on trying to make out why I had a error message under check
out, and I could not find it. It was because one file was uppdated to fixs some minor
bugs, and I could not work it out.(I ended up with previous version of that file) If
it was a part of FreeTrade, it would be updated as well. I know for a fact that in
Norway even PC Magazine writes that most people want an invoice. And they defend it.
Many people in Norway are not prepared to use Creditcard on online purchases. And
Norway is as close to the US in cultur as you can come in Europe.
3. Make and model. I understand that we are suppose to add to tables as we need, but
it would still be great to have seperate fields for make and model. Most of the time
this is the case.
4. The wishlist is cool, but it would be great if we had a different adressobject (or
whatever) with only the fields required for shipping. That would remove phone, email
etc. It could be wery cool to have a adressbook where customers could add there
adresses and the only select by name. Also it would be cool if a charge could be added
to each despatch.
5. Pop up meny with reqursive listing of departments and subdepartments.
6. A copy of mail to siteadmin.
That's it! Thanks for giving FreeTrade to us Leon! I for one intend to make the most
of it. I hope this is taken as creative input and that you will consider it. I would
be wery happy if you could at least state what you definetive will not include.
