I tried phpshop and was sorta pleased with it. That was a couple of versions
ago, however. I found it to be a bit troublesome to install on a hosted
server which doesn't allow httpd.conf modifications.
Freetrade, on the other hand was a BREEZE to set up. Leon & crew have done a
great job documenting the innerworkings of FreeTrade and have come up with a
VERY customizeable product. I've been developing a e-com site for a client
and chose FreeTrade to run the site. This was after trying PhpShop
(www.phpshop.org), OpenMarket (www.opensales.org), and TheExchangeProject
(www.theexchangeproject.org) (which was my other favorite out of all of
them). And this was my FIRST appempt at an e-com site!
Leon and crew have done a superb job creating a great set of tools for
building a site with a rich set of features!
