On the Mac and Windows, it usually launches Excel
(sometimes inside the browser frame) if Excel is installed. If not
installed, it should ask you to save the document somewhere. It's not
really an Excel file, BTW. It's just a table-delimited file with an Excel
MIME type. I've seen it act very strangely sometimes, perhaps because of
the use of older versions of Excel. You can always tweak the MIME type to
force a download or whatever.
