i noticed in nautilus, in the fonts:/// path that all the fonts i had showed
properly, except the macintosh fonts
running gnome-thumbnail-font fonts:///Zapfino out.png (or any macintosh
font) resulted in the error
** Message: could not open URI
could not load face 'fonts:///Zapfino': cannot open resource
Exit 1
for argument's sake, i have tried with a standard path as well
# gnome-thumbnail-font /Library/Fonts/Zapfino.dfont out.png
could not load face 'file:///Library/Fonts/Zapfino.dfont': unknown file
format
# gnome-thumbnail-font /Library/Fonts/Zapfino out.png
** Message: could not open URI
could not load face 'file:///Library/Fonts/Zapfino': cannot open resource
this is using freetype2 from cvs head
