Hi guys,

You might have noticed my commit
http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/freetype/freetype2.git/commit/?id=4a2f8f1faffd7aad7a8cb3be196abc49e4b227da

FreeType smooth rasterizer is incredibly smart in setting the default
band size at 1/8th of the available pixel (cell) pool. This minimizes
having memory overflown, band bisected and work repeated. That magic
constant is only suitable for rather simple European scripts. Chinese
ideogram would be more comfortable with smaller default band size like
1/13th the available pixel pool. I did the statistics.

Any suggestions? Should rasterizer be aware of the Unicode range?

Regards,
Alexei
