Uh, no, this is not what mentors will do :-) Instead *you* have to get acquainted with the topic you are really interested in, inspect the freetype-devel e-mail list archive, check the FreeType git repository, etc., etc., and start with a proposal. What we will do on this e-mail list (to which you should definitely subscribe) is answering *specific* questions to a project. This is why we have a red-coloured paragraph at the beginning of our GSoC page... https://www.freetype.org/gsoc.html Just to be sure I repeat it: *you* have to be the driving force in writing a proposal and doing the project!
