This has been merged a few days ago, and I've just merged https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/freetype/freetype/-/merge_requests/363 into 'master', too – this MR greatly reduces the number of distortions caused by diacritics directly attached to the base glyph (like character 'ę'). Please test these changes and report if the rendering becomes worse! Werner PS: You might experience some slowdown at loading fonts that support many (Latin-like) scripts. Reducing the startup time will be implemented soon, doing lazy evaluation of scripts.
