This seems to be intentional. Within glyph `r' of Bitstream Vera Sans
Oblique, there is a delta instruction which shifts a bunch of points
at 14ppem so that the stem becomes exactly vertical.
It would be nice if someone could check this on Windows, just to be
sure.
