To generate optimal sub-pixel aa'ed text on a display that much
different would require new low-level code and filtering.

The fact that R and B sub-pixels are twice as wide as G and appear in a
bayer-like pattern means that the filtering has to be done on 2x2 blocks
of full pixels.

It is possible that the resolution is enough that gray aa is sufficient.
