i want to use MPD to control the music part of freevo and didn't find anything abou that. Both systems lock /dev/dsp so that i can't use both in paralel.
If you configure dmix with alsa, you can use both mpd and freevo to play music at the same time.
Can freevo use sound daemons like ESD to play and what
are the settings for it?
Just use dmix with alsa

Maybe bemused could be supportet by Freevo 2.0?
