Hello,
I would like to use a wireless mouse as the "remote control" for my
freevo-machine.
I have a Logitech optical wireless (radio) mouse with mouse wheel. I
think it could be a nice input device, switch live TV channels with the
mouse wheel, or by pushing the left mouse button, and getting a popup
menu with all the channels (maybe with what show is currently on).
Hardwarewise, it seems easier than installing an IR remote to my
computer, and furthermore I intend to have my freevo machine in another
room than my TV, for noise reasons.
So, esteemed freevo hackers, I would like to ask what issues would be
involved with adding mouse support.
One very simple way (but maybe not satisfactory) would be to map mouse
movements to up/down/left/right buttons, and mouse buttons to the space
key or something like that. But it would not be as nice as having a
mouse cursor I think when navigating the TV guide (I might be wrong though).
Thanks for any input!
