Hello, Just thought I would post that I have found a solution to this problem, though it's really more of a work-around than a solution.
I am not sure why this is, but if I load the 'lirc_serial' driver, and start the 'lircd' daemon first off after rebooting, the 'irw' program fails to respond. However, after stopping the 'lircd' daemon, unloading the 'lirc_serial' driver, and deleting the '/dev/lircd=' file, I can then reload everything, and it all works again. And yes, I tried just deleting the '/dev/lircd=' file before loading everything up the first time, but now joy. I have worked this into my startup script, but obviously it is a problem (not a Freevo one, though) Anyway, I have pretty much everything working okay (TV, local files, etc), and am trying to play around with the recording. I have some things to post on that, but I'll put it into it's own post :-) Thanx for all who tried to help; it was greatly appreciated!
