It's an mplayer problem :( You can try to work around it if your card
supports btaudio (extracting audio via the PCI bus). Mine doesn't so I
don't know the configuration setup needed to accomplish this.

AFAIK, I don't think anyone is working on fixing that, since tv
viewing is delegated to mplayer.

You can try the V4L1 overlay python-based TV viewer patch by Erland Lewin.
He posted it March 9 (check the archives). I don't think anyone has merged
it into CVS yet. Dischi needs feedback from users before he'll merge it
since he doesn't have TV capture.
