OK, I think we should switch to this lib sooner or later (I prefer sooner). I added my DVD detection to this some hours ago, a VCD info is already on my harddisc, waiting for a checkin. But I'm waiting with that until I get some results about my disc_check.py sent to the users list. To all of you: please try mmpython (only cvs right now) and report bugs and send patches to Thomas Schueppel ([EMAIL PROTECTED]). Most important: test the mp3 module, this was a big problem with Freevo some time ago (different tag versions). I also like to add CDDB support [1] and a caching. Thomas: I think it's GPL, we should add a COPYING file with the GPL and a CREDITS file with a list of people we took code from (EXIF, ifoinfo, CDDB, ...). BTW, what is mm standing for? Dischi Footnotes: [1] Again with C-Module. It should be possible to rebuild this in Python, but taking an existing module is easier. Thomas, what do you think? -- If the Earth is the size of a pea in New York, then the Sun is a beachball 50m away, Pluto is 4km away, and the next nearest star is in Tokyo. Now shrink Pluto's orbit into a coffee cup; then our Milky Way Galaxy fills North America. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Etnus, makers of TotalView, The best thread debugger on the planet.
