Hey Rob,

Mandrake 9.1 Freevo 1.3.2-pre4

Okay, I've run into a problem right off the bat. I
followed your instructions for installing the new
runtime:

  cd /path/to/freevo
  mv runtime runtime.orig
  cvs update -d runtime
  tar jxvf /path/to/runtime-pre5-test4.tar.bz2

I then shutdown Freevo, changed to the Freevo
directory, and ran './freevo' to start it up again. I
get this error (on the command line):

/usr/local/freevo/python_error: error while loading
shared libraries: libavcodec.so: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory

Ok, I want to scream! I hate the runtime! I will have to look into that closer.

(you'll have to forgive me; a TV screen is not the
best for reading the text, but I believe that is the
correct library)

Also, I tried running a videousing the runtim MPlayer
stand-alone again, and it was still unable to find a
working VIDIX device. The exact error is here:

vosub_vidix: Couldn't find working VIDIX driver
Error opening/initializing the selected video_out
(-vo) device.

Can you run mplayer from your freevo directory? ie: ./runtime/apps/mplayer/mplayer ..... mplayer will look in ./runtime/apps/mplayer/lib/mplayer/vidix/ for the drivers.
