You don't need to check the .amazonkey file, the module does it automatically. I never put a license into the coversearch and did all my development using a keyfile.

To be honest, it's a great service Amazon is providing (and don't forget they provide imdb too) so I don't want to violate their license not just for legal reasons, but ethical ones.
I wasn't sure. I was thinking that lots of apps (web sites) would use the site's key, and therefore many users would be sharing the same key. But I suppose that is different than actually distributing the key.
