How does a channel with letters in it work? Agh. So there is no way to
be sure then? This could be annoying. 

I just want a way to map out tuner id numbers, channel ids and
human-readable channel names.  The stuff I have so far seems to work,
but it looks like I'll need to keep an eye out for other XML examples.
