Would the latest pre release have the updated joy? Or will I have to get cvs configured and download that-away?
What release are you using? There is no latest pre release, the latest is 1.3.2 (final). I just checked cvs and I am pretty sure that the joy.py from there will work for you. If you update everything from cvs you will probably run into some runtime problems.
