For those of you interested in using Python2.3 and Debian with Freevo, I've added python2.3 packages for some of the requirements to my site. This includes:
python2.3-mmpython python2.3-pylirc python2.3-pygame All of these are CVS snapshots; the rest of the packages we need are already included with Debian... I will provide a new 'task' package soon, but in the meantime, try them if you'd like. Oh yeah; it IS faster.
