If you're using Debian packages of Freevo, I've added a ton of stuff to make the experience a little nicer. (This will be coming in the 1.4rc2 release, it's not in the apt source yet)
1. You can now configure freevo's basic system (display, TV norm, etc.) using debconf. This means that instead of having to run freevo setup manually, you can choose what you want using debconf and it will write a freevo.conf file for you. 2. There is an init script which you can optionally enable on bootup. Almost everything is automated by this process, so you can have freevo up and running with no configuration file editing. Of course, you may still want to edit the local_conf.py to customize things, but a basic install using the system defaults can be done with minimal effort. Of course, if your system is already configured, it won't force you to overwrite your existing config files. If the people using the .deb's have any problems, please let me know.
