I've received an answer from a norwegian lawyer (Jon Bing) concerning the legal matters of the appletrailer-plugin. Not surprisingly the answer wasn't a simply "legal" or "evil".
To determine if the appletrailer is legal in Norway, I have to hire a lawyer to look deeper into it. The minimal cost was estimated to 10000 NOK. That is ca. 1400 USD or ca. 1200 EUR!! (of course I don't have the funds to do this) The lawyer ended his mail by advicing me to contact apple to ask for permission. If we get a negative answer, we could just find some other site with trailers and ask them for permission. Currently I am aiming at http://www2.filmweb.no/trailer/ . It is a norwegian site, so some of the titles are confusing. (some titles are in norwegian, and some have a different name in Norway. Like "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" is called "The League" in Norway) And now; the cry for help: Could anyone contact apple to ask for permission? -- Eirik Meland A: Top posters.
