Hi,

while trying to find a way to remote control freevo, I stumbled over xf4vnc
(http://xf4vnc.sourceforge.net/), which adds the ability to use a vncviewer
to access a running, local X display.

Everything works fine, however when playing music the screen-updates generate
a constant stream of about 10MBit/s. It seems like the display gets
completely redrawn each second (or even more often).

Is there a way to optimize this ? It would be a nice solution for freevo,
without adding any other plugins/programs to control freevo over the net with
a nice GUI (at least for X-Displays).

Magnus
