Bold? using color alone might cause problems for people who are color-blind.
On the tivo you get an arrow next to it if theres a sub-menu to that option, but this only works as all navigation can be done via up/down/left/right (while rules by the way, you just keep your thumb on the joypad-like bit of the remote).
