What's the problem to get manual record working right now?
Someone just needs to write an interface. I think this should be menuwidget based similar to how it was when record_daemon.py was used. It could use the client interface like the webserver and other Freevo parts.

Yes this will take some time. PyUI and freevo are actually _very_ similar in how they do skinning and display. I am experimenting with using pyui widgets over our osd/skin/menuw. I am confident this will work well and am quite excited about it. I will show some details when I get more code done, later in the weekend perhaps. :)
