I'm not a developer really, but just a thought; Couldn't the event system
support a "meta" key ('A' on my Sapphire RF remote for instance)? I'm
worried that we might run out of keys eventually :)

So M-1 would be main menu, M-2 would be whatnot.

Also, another silly idea I had was to have a "idlebar" _page_ as a mainmenu
plugin. There you could fit a lot more "overview" items than on a single
bar. Also, it would be a central place to get an overview of everything ...
for those people who like to get an overview of things, myself included.

Of course it's about personal taste! :) But that's what we're talking
about, someone wants to add more stuff to his idlebar than can fit
right?

Right... you could assign keys to each function yourself if they had
hooks. I use a hook like this now for playlists since I like to be
able to queue a song via the 'rec' key... the numbers send rating
information for songs, etc.
