I'm not a developer really, but just a thought; Couldn't the event system
support a "meta" key ('A' on my Sapphire RF remote for instance)? I'm
worried that we might run out of keys eventually :)So M-1 would be main menu, M-2 would be whatnot. Also, another silly idea I had was to have a "idlebar" _page_ as a mainmenu plugin. There you could fit a lot more "overview" items than on a single bar. Also, it would be a central place to get an overview of everything ... for those people who like to get an overview of things, myself included. /PS Technology Nexus AB Nexus Security Consultants Peter Svensson rstangsvgen 21c S-10074 Stockholm Sweden Phone: +46-8-587 287 50 Mobile: +46-8-587 287 50 Email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <http://www.nexus.se> "If you don't consider time an input value, think about it until you do" - John Carmack -----Original Message----- From: Aubin Paul [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: den 26 februari 2004 07:08 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [Freevo-devel] Re: Running out of place in idlebar -suggestion for extension On Thu, Feb 26, 2004 at 01:57:02AM -0300, Gustavo Sverzut Barbieri wrote: > > I would disagree with that... Of course it's about personal taste! :) But that's what we're talking about, someone wants to add more stuff to his idlebar than can fit right? > > EVENTS['menu']['1'] = Event(MENU_CALL_ITEM_ACTION, arg='go_music') > > > > or something... though not by default obviously. > > yes, it should give user much fast navigation. Right... you could assign keys to each function yourself if they had hooks. I use a hook like this now for playlists since I like to be able to queue a song via the 'rec' key... the numbers send rating information for songs, etc. Aubin ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now.
