Folks,

When using the mplayer plugin to play cds the track title information is not
displayed correctly when a disc plays through.

When I load up a cd, the track titles and numbers display properly. When I
begin play the first track title and number is displayed properly. If I hit
the down or up arrows to switch tracks the title and number change to the
apropreate information.

However, if i let the disc play through from track one to track two and so on,
the information for the track title, number and time are never changed. The
title will always be the title of the first song, the track number will
always be 1 and the time will be the total elapsed time of the disc.

I think that Mplayer is presenting the cd as a constant stream, unlike when
you play files. However, having the player shutdown between tracks would
introduce unwanted silence between tracks, especialy for those of us with
slow computers and large caches.

I notice that freevo presents mplayer with 'cdda://' instead of 'cddb://'.
Why?

Is there a way to fix this issue?
