First off... Great work everyone, I recently updated to 1.5pre1 and it was the smoothest update I've ever had with Freevo. I had some problems with SDL and using the dfbmga setup with directfb, but the archives helped out tons.

So it's my turn to give back, I would like to help out more with Freevo. I'm not a programmer, but I would love to start submitting some patches for the documentation, on screen menus, etc. I've noticed quite a few typos that are a bit hard to spot (but very visible), and would love to whack them. Are patches for this type of thing (typos, clarity, etc) welcome?

Of course, anything to make it better. Also, I wouldn't mind changing some of the "non-typo" stuff, e.g. the "Look at Pictures" in the main menu doesn't sound right to me (apologies to whomever wrote it).

Thank you!

I am also starting to work on Freevo documentation as a class assignment, so expect to see some work from me as well. The existing documentation is directed more at developers and hackers than end users. I am working on a "user's guide" that focuses 100% on the end user. I may also end up writing some small utilities to make some of the more complex tasks easier, unless 1.5 has made things like IMDB lookup easier.

The goal is to make a machine and a small booklet that I could give to my mom and expect that she'd get it figured out without assistance.
